This is a re-recording of the scores from the movies THE JUNGLE BOOK (1942) and THE THIEF OF BAGDAD (1940) (without narration) as produced by the Colosseum Schallplatten/Varèse Sarabande Records labels, performed by the Nürnberger Symphoniker (a.k.a. The Nürnberg Symphony Orchestra) conducted by Miklós Rózsa ("Thief of Bagdad") and Klauspeter Seibel ("Jungle Book") (1981 recording, first issued in 1983). It is NOT TO BE CONFUSED with the 1957 re-recording of the same movie scores as produced by RCA twenty-six years before, performed by the Frankenland State Symphony Orchestra conducted by composer Miklós Rózsa, with added narration spoken by actor Leo Genn (1955 recording, first issued in 1957). This version of "The Jungle Book Orchestral Suite" was used as the basis for a children's record with added narration spoken by german actor Elmar Gunsch, see "Das Dschungelbuch / Die Gechichte Vom Faulen Bären" (https://www.discogs.com/release/13199397-Mark-Lothar-Mikl%C3%B3s-R%C3%B3zsa-N%C3%BCrnberger-Symphoniker-Klauspeter-Seibel-Elmar-Gunsch-Das-Dschungelbuch-).
