Original Japan-for-U.S. CD reissue of 1983 [l57951] LP configuration (704.180), featuring a May 31 and June 1, 1983 [a1976846] digital recording by [a925927] and the [a924191], of selections from the original 1938 film score by [a274325]. The packaging features a four-page booklet with liner notes by [a850951], a brief technical note concerning the recording, a black-and-white photo from the film, and color front and back covers, the former featuring a reproduction of the original one-sheet poster, and the latter featuring two color photos from the film.
Track 4 based on thematic material composed by [a274325] for the symphonic overture "Sursum Corda", Op. 13 (1920).
The "Special Thanks" credits in the booklet, which would ordinarily be placed here, have instead been placed in the Credits section as per [g10.8.], since each "had direct involvement with the creation of the recording."
