Compilation of songs created for the "あたりまえってなにかしら" ("Just what is obvious?") segments on the カガクノミカタ (Allies of Science) series aired on the NHK Eテレ educational television channel. Each track on the release (the title of which translates to "The Songs of Atarima Etsuko") concerns the character Atarima Etsuko reflecting on a particular topic, including genders, animals, points of view, curiosity and the future. The release includes the album on side A of a white vinyl record, and features the instrumentals of every track. exclusive to this format of the release, on side B. Also included is a 12"x12" booklet featuring artwork by Shinsuke Yoshitake, lyrics and release credits. The first pressing bonus for this release is an acrylic charm of Atarima Etsuko.
