Recorded by Radio France in Soissons Cathedral, September 2002, as part of "Les Belles Pages du sud de l'Aisne" ("Masterpieces from Southern Aisne), a series of public concerts combining literature and music in order "to contribute to a better understanding of [Aisne's] heritage as a whole and in its diversity" (booklet, p.26). These are followed by releases in Calliope's "Rencontres" series, "a musical and literary collection co-produced by Calliope and the Aisne Regional Council within the [i]Belles pages du sud de l'Aisne[/i]" framework.
Co-produced by Aisne Regional Council, Calliope and the Orchestre de Picardie, with support from Radio France, the European Union, the Regional Council of Picardy and the town of Soissons.
28-page booklet contains artist photos and biographies (in French and English), Lucie Kayas's article "Paul Claudel & la musique" (in French and English), Claudel's libretto for Honegger's oratorio (in French only), and a short note in French and English on the "Belles Pages du sud de l'Aisne" project.
