Recorded on July 14, 1956 (1-6) and July 9, 1956 (7). First Japanese CD edition. In jewel case with obi. Four page cover insert includes a list of the fifty titles in the series. An additional fold out insert includes new liner notes in Japanese backed by a facsimile of the original LP jacket back cover. NB: the price changed from 3,200円 to 3,008円 during production (see front of the obi on first and last images). Note: "I've Got A Crush On You" appeared on Thad Jones' next Blue Note album (BLP 1546). Since it is from the session that produced this album, we have included it here to make that session complete. "Something To Remember You By" is a duet by Thad and Kenny Burrell recorded just a few days earlier. It was briefly issued in an a Japanese Blue Note box set entitled "The Other Side Of The 1500 Series". (M.
