A series of musical sketches, created primarily with the Waldorf Blofeld. This is the second volume, recorded in September/October 2021. There may be more...
The Blofeld is a complex digital synthesizer, first released in 2007. Known for it's cold, metallic sounds, I wanted to see how far I could take it as a standalone instrument, using only it's internal arpeggiator as a sort of sequencer.
The intention was to embrace the digital sound, and the glitches inherent in the sequencer and delay, rather than to attempt to imitate and analogue machine.
Each track was recorded live with no overdubs, but there were some additional sounds from the Make Noise 0-Coast, usually in the form of bubbles and clicks for added texture.
The Blofeld is played through a Specular Tempus reverb pedal.
