The original LP version was recorded in the Sydney Studios of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 1976 and released by Move Records in 1981. This compact disc reissue features all the music from the original release. New performances of some pieces as well as additional works were recorded by members of the Team of Pianists in 1989.
