Tooflez returns with their latest serving, the "Bass Control’’ remix LP, exploring the different dimensions in the multi-faceted universe of ELECTRO. The original cut was cooked up by label head-chef ANDI A. Once upon a lock-down, when humans had only machines for company… a Juno 1, an old Yamaha groove box, a glitchy noisy synthesizer and a cheap microphone transpired ‘Bass Control’ into space and time. Never intended to be released, 3diz asked ANDI A. for the stems one day, and the rest is h̴i̴s̴t̴o̴r̴y̴ the f u t u r e. ANDI A. delivers the original on the A1. Timeless electro with a dystopian air to it, perfectly fit for building energy and suspense. The first remix is from Indigo Plateaux, showcasing their distinctive sound, deconstructing the original to a peak-time technoizoid banger. The Detroit Electro veteran, DJ Di’jital, delivers a bass-heavy, deep dive into the underground; proving once again why no one does it like Detroit does it. On the B1. we have Viikatory dishing out saturated 808’s and snappy acid lines, spaced out arps and a distinctive echoing assurance. 3diz pushes the bass into a distorted weighty nastiness, leaving nobody immune to the infections ‘bass face’ syndrome.
