Ballet in three acts. Music assembled by dancer-turned-composer Leighton Lucas (assisted by Hilda Gaunt) from forty-five fragments of music by Jules Massenet (although none from Massenet's 1884 opera "Manon"). First performed in 1974, choreographed by Kenneth MacMillan.
This production was filmed on 24 October and 1 November 2008 at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
Disc One also includes a 45 minute documentary bonus feature: "Dancing Manon" with interviews and rehearsal footage.
36 page booklet contains notes and synopsis in English, French & German.
