A visual artefact by Marco Porsia. "This documentary about 5 remarkable individuals, and the music they crafted together as Rema-Rema, that I was able to participate in exposing to the world, brought this old man to tears. It was that individuality, the certainty of what they had achieved that, at least, planted the seed in me that this thing called 4AD had purpose." Ivo Watts-Russell: 4AD co-founder As Rema-Rema, Mick Allen, Gary Asquith, Marco Pirroni, Mark Cox and Dorothy Max Prior played only 11 shows around London in 1979, and split up before their one and only record, Wheel In The Roses was released in 1980 on the iconic label 4AD. No footage exists of the band playing live and only a handful of photos and rehearsal tapes survive, creating a myth around them that persists today. A supergroup in reverse, the band members would go on to form Mass, The Wolfgang Press, Renegade Soundwave, and play with Psychic TV, and Adam and the Ants. 44 years and 20 minutes of recorded music later, "What You Could Not Visualise" firmly puts Rema-Rema back in their rightful place in the history of post-punk music. Director Macro Porsia if the highly acclaimed documentary "Where Does A Body End" (2019) on Swans, goes on an archeological exploration to find the driving forces behind Rema-Rema's groundbreaking sound through exclusive interviews featuring 4AD founder Ivo Watts-Russell, Stephen Mallinder (Cabaret Voltaire), Steve Albini (Big Black), John Robb (The Membranes), Bruce Pavitt (Subpop), JG Thirlwell (Foetus), Gudrun Gut and Bettina Koster (Malaria!), Pet Moore (In Camera), Cinder (CIndytalk), Frankie Nardiello (The Drownign CXraze, Thrill Kill Kult), and Rema-Rema themselves. The double blu ray release of the 2022 documentary about Rema-Rema. Released as a two disc blu ray in a limited edition of 100.
