Booklet liner notes are in French, English and German. Lieder texts are provided in German with French and English translations.
On CD 1, the ensemble La Fenice performs most sonatas together with violinist François Fernandez. Members of the Ricercar Consort perform the Lieder and and Sonata No 10 (track 1-12).
On CD 2, three different keyboard instuments are used:
1. A harpsichord by Titus Crijnen (Amsterdam, 1992) after Johannes Ruckers, 1638
2. A harpsichord by Emile Jobin (Paris, 1979) after Italian 17th century models
3. A clavichord, Geert Karman (Amsterdam, 1991) after north German late 17th century models
All three instruments are tuned to a meantone temperament.
