Myra Hess's performance was captured some time around 1916-1925, and the piano rolls, which caught every nuance of the playing, were used to make the stereo recording when they were played through a 1929 Steinway. Australian WRC 2nd pressing, sourced from original stampers and featuring unique sleeve art. The first, from 1967, has an "S/ME" catalogue number and different addresses on the back.
